MISSION

Our comprehensive program transforms homes into high-achieving learning hubs while our online community provides the support, encouragement, and connection needed to thrive.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our beliefs about cultivating an extraordinary learner

Teaching

  • Create an environment full of learning experiences, and ask challenging questions

  • A curriculum should never prevent children from learning what they are capable of understanding

  • With the right sequence, young children are capable of mastering anything

  • Progress should be charted and visualized to spot trends and make changes

Learning

  • Spaced-repetition and memory science are integral parts of learning
  • Real life learning occurs through the home and everyday experiences

  • The trade-off between the risks and benefits of screen time must be carefully controlled

Knowledge

  • Learning the right metaphors is much more important than getting the right answers with poor metaphors

  • While most primitive knowledge can be communicated quickly through pictures and experience, language and logic form the bridge between concrete experience and abstract reasoning
  • Much care must be given to training our brain’s neurological network with good inputs and lots of repetition

FOUNDERS

Our journey to bring the Ivy League home

Ivy League Homeschool was founded by Dr. M., an Ivy League engineer, engineering education researcher, and mother of two math literate toddlers. Ivy League Homeschool was birthed from Dr. M’s passion for instilling the time-tested pillars of virtue, leadership, and excellence in her children through enriching expeditionary learning, sensory experiences, world culture, early reading instruction, and her own “college math for toddlers” program™.

Dr. M was led to systematize her approach to cultivating excellence at home after her disappointment with the lack of rigorous, high-caliber preschool programs offering the safe, nurturing convenience of home and personally tailored whole child instruction. She decided to share her Ivy League approach to excellence at home with all who are in unrelenting pursuit of the extraordinary.

Dr. M received her doctorate from Columbia University, and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in engineering and education from Brown University. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in engineering process improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions often asked about our program and homeschooling in general.

According to a 2021 Harvard study, when compared to their peers in conventional schools, homeschooled children tend to be happier, more engaged, virtuous”well-adjusted, responsible young adults” (Chen et al., 2021). Interestingly, the study found no significant differences between students attending public, private, and parochial schools. Homeschooled students are also more likely to have higher quality friendships, better relationships with their parents and other adults, and feel more satisfied with their lives (Medlin, 2013).

While you can start homeschooling at any time, you must check the state-specific homeschool laws that apply to you. Review the specific requirements for your state here. https://www2.ed.gov/about/inits/ed/non-public-education/regulation-map/index.html

Absolutely! We believe that anyone committed to providing educational excellence for their child at home through homeschooling can make it a reality. Our systematized routines make it easy for parents and caretakers to administer, in a way that is convenient to your lifestyle!

We also provide 24-hour access to our exclusive Ivy League Homeschool network to connect with local homeschoolers in your area and engage with the broader online Ivy League Homeschool community for support.

Many different family arrangements can effectively homeschool. While many homeschooling families do have one stay-at-home parent, other arrangements can be successful as well. Some of our Ivy League Homeschoolers may come from single parent or dual-working households, while others may receive instruction from nannies, grandparents, or other caretakers.

We understand that the decision to homeschool can be the start of a very significant (and fabulous) change. We are so confident about the ease of our program implementation and the advanced learning for your child, that we completely stand behind our 100% money-back guarantee. Join Ivy League Homeschool risk-free, and see why millions more families across the country are saying goodbye to traditional schooling.

Multiple studies have demonstrated that students with special needs benefit most from home learning environments. The learn-anywhere flexibility of Ivy League Homeschool affords the ability to accommodate any learner.

Homeschooling has been proven to be a tremendous asset to gifted children, as they can receive personalized instruction tailored to learning needs at a flexible pace beyond what can be provided in a traditional school setting.

Many states have accommodations for homeschooled children to join local school sports teams and other extracurricular activities. Many towns also have opportunities to join independently operated sports leagues and other special interest activities.
